The women of Team Kenda Tire are some of the most impressive entrepreneurs of the racing world. In 1999, nine women with a passion for bicycle racing formed one of the nation's first woman's amateur racing teams in the Midwest. With their eyes on the National Racing Calendar, these competitors had to figure out how to balance the costs of transportation, and their lives outside of cycling, with their fierce passion for the sport. So they built and expanded the team, taking on riders around the country, so that they can field racing teams for events anywhere they can find them. Now with more than sixty members, ranging in age from 17 to 50, and with countless top finishes under their belt, the women of Team Kenda Tire haven't given up on that entrepreneurial spirit. They've taken on multiple sponsors in support of their mission, and are still living the dream of those nine founding racers.
