Chris Wiatr is a twenty one-year-old college senior currently living in Long Grove, Illinois. He is a student at Lake Forest College and plans to major in economics. Aside from his coursework, Chris is a member of the NCAA Division III varsity cross-country team at Lake Forest College. Nonetheless, his true passion is the sport of triathlon. Chris enjoys the sport because it features the three sports he enjoys the most: swimming, biking, and running. Chris first got involved in triathlons because of his swimming background. After beginning swimming at the age of 9, Chris swam competitively on local swim clubs and his varsity high school team (Lincolnshire, Illinois/Adlai E. Stevenson). ?At the age of 14, Chris competed in his first triathlon and immediately realized that he could succeed in future competition. Since that revelation, Chris focused his training on triathlon, taking his regimen more seriously each successive year. As Chris gained more experience in racing, he started to compete in National events like The Junior Elite Series. In 2009 alone, he achieved a 6th overall ranking in the USAT Junior Series and received All-American for the age group 18-19. In 2011, he earned his professional license at the early age of twenty years old. For the 2012 season, Chris will competing in the professorial category and is very determined to race at the highest level in the sport of Triathlon.
